SPaG
Let's get busy and work on perfecting our knowledge of relative clauses on spag.com. Please make sure you also complete any outstanding live tests!

Reading
Keep reading!!! Ensure you are reading regularly and recording the outcome into your reading record. Remember to use tone and expression, improving the pace at which you read and engaging your audience!

DT/Art/ICT - Can you design your very own war-torn building? Think about what about resources you would use and list them on a sheet. Design your building and label specific features that show that it has been damaged by war. You may want to design a before and after picture that indicates how your building has changed as a result of the Lebanese Civil War. If possible, create the building from your design. You may want to take a range of pictures from the start of construction to the end, then put them on google slides with instructions of your process.

PE
Why don't you try some different PE activities today? These links will certainly put a smile on your face and keep you active. Get your siblings and parents to join in too!

SUPER Science - week 1

Image result for growing plants

Hey year 5, to keep you busy and your science brains active while you are working at home, I'm going to set you a science challenge to do each week.

This week we are starting with PLANTS!

I'd like you to plant a seed.
Think about what you will need to do to your seed to help it grow well.
Then keep a plant diary - every week measure your plant, take a picture or draw your plant.

Here is some information about plants that might help you.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zy66fg8

If you don't have any seeds, don't worry! You can find seeds in the food we eat every day. You can also grow new plants from out of date fruit and vegetables or the scraps that we cut off when preparing our food to eat.
Watch the videos below to find out how.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jze8utzpLhg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJuXpiEjdcc

If you are feeling really smart, could you think of a way to track your plant's growth on a graph? Maybe you could grow your plants in different places and compare how well they grow.

 Happy planting!!😀
